On July 20, 2018 at 21:30 Khan Shatyr Shopping and Entertainment Center in Astana has been turn RED in a global display of unity as part of the Special Olympics 50th Anniversary Celebration. Special Olympics organization is the world's largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, providing year-round training and competitions.
In addition to Khan Shatyr more than 170 landmarks worldwide participated in the Light Up for Inclusion initiative, such as: London Eye in London, Great Britain; Empire State Building in New York, the USA; Sydney Opera House in Australia; Niagara Falls in the USA and Canada; Krymsky Bridge in Moscow and many others , creating a global display of tolerance, respect and celebration of difference.
Khan Shatyr Shopping and Entertainment Center management has supported this world project and the Khan Shatyr unique building in Astana has entered to event historical collection of the well-known objects worldwide.
